Personal Injury
We represent people who are injured in motor vehicle accidents, or while they are guests or invitees of residential property owners, or injured on the premises of a retail store or commercial property.
Our approach to personal injury cases is to investigate the accident, obtain medical records, work with our clients' treatment providers, and interview witnesses. Once we obtain all of the relevant information, we prepare a settlement demand and comprehensive packet of information to present to the defendant's insurance provider. We negotiate settlements for our clients both prior to and after the filing of a lawsuit. We have successfully utilized mediation to resolve personal injury claims. When a settlement cannot be reached through negotiation or mediation, we arbitrate or litigate in court on behalf of our clients.
We usually represent personal injury claims on a contingent basis. What that means is if we settle your case or win at an arbitration or trial, our firm will receive a percentage of the settlement proceeds, award or judgment as its attorneys' fee. If we do not prevail, you will not have to pay any attorneys' fees. Clients are responsible for the payment of any costs and expenses related to the case.
We also represent people who are defendants in personal injury suits. In those cases, clients are responsible for both their legal fees, which are billed on an hourly basis, and for the costs associated with the lawsuit.
